Teaching Positions

High School Spanish Teacher
St. Mary’s Academy is seeking a High School Spanish teacher with experience in teaching Spanish courses.. This is a full-time, 10-month, exempt position reporting to the division principal, beginning in August 2023. The position consists of three teaching sections and serving as an advisor to a small group of students. Candidates should have strong academic training and expertise in Spanish education and possess a demonstrated ability to teach and develop a robust curriculum.

Early Childhood Programming

Auxiliary Programs Coordinator
The Auxiliary Programs Coordinator is responsible for the oversight, coordination, and seamless operation of Early Childhood Development Before and After School Programs, support of Middle School Homework Club, and summer camp programs. The position is responsible to serve as the Early Childhood Compliance Coordinator to ensure St. Mary’s Academy fully meets Colorado Department of Education’s Early Childhood Licensure requirements.

Substitute Teachers are needed for our divisions. St. Mary's Academy has small class sizes in a warm and welcoming community. We are proud to pay substitute teachers $140 per day.

Our Campus

The St. Mary’s Academy campus sits on 24 beautiful acres in the stunning Cherry Hills Village neighborhood.

In 1864, the Sisters of Loretto purchased the original schoolhouse, which was located at 14th and California St. in what is now the heart of Downtown Denver. In 1911, the sisters moved the school campus to Pennsylvania St. and 14th Ave., before purchasing a farmhouse outside of town in 1951. When it was still a dirt road, University Boulevard became home to St. Mary's Academy, and the farmhouse is still in use as our main administrative building.

For the last 72 years, SMA has transformed the 24 acre campus. The grounds are comprised of the Lower School, Middle School, High School, Sanders House, Bishop Evans Sports Center, Community Center, a sustainable synthetic Nike Grind turf field, additional athletic fields, and ample space for children to enjoy the outdoors.
