SMA Senior Leads at Colorado Thespian Convention; 24 SMA Middle and High School Students Attend

SMA took the stage at the 57th Annual Thespian Conference that promotes and strengthens theatre arts in education and provides creative enrichment, December 2 - 4. Senior Victoria Perez, State Thespian Officer, helped organize and work at the event attended by 4,000 youth performers and technicians from Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico. Twenty-four Middle School and High School students from SMA Troupe #1206 attended workshops, and several delivered solo musical theatre performances receiving Excellent and Superior ratings, including Ella Cho (Gr. 7), Julia Kennedy (Gr. 6), Mia Perry (Gr. 8), Gigi Alvariza (Gr. 11), Isabella Bhamre (Gr. 12) and Victoria Perez (Gr. 12). The youth thespians were accompanied to the event by choreographer Hannah Brown and performing arts teacher Roberta Hamilton-Griggs.
