Academics

The faculty at St. Mary’s Academy provides a values-based, purpose-driven education in a caring and secure setting. Student learn how to think, not just what to think, with a rigorous program that encourages respectful discourse. Our Loretto School Values of faith, community, justice, and respect inspire us to do great work for each other and for the world.

Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 at St. Mary’s Academy is co-educational, while our high school is all-girls. Students come from across the metro area and represent many religious and ethnic backgrounds—creating a vibrant community of collaboration, discovery, and unity.

In the Lower School, children explore through social-emotional and authentic learning that includes introduction to design thinking. In the Middle School, pre-adolescent learners connect and discover identity through service within the local community and cultivating passion areas. In the High School, young women evolve to trust their own voices, delve deeply into advanced level coursework and service learning, and leave with a purpose as agents of change.

We wanted a challenging learning environment where our daughter felt accepted and cared for. All aspects of the lower, middle and high schools have exceeded our expectations.
