The faculty at St. Mary’s Academy provides a values-based, purpose-driven education in a caring and secure setting. Students learn how to think, not just what to think, with a rigorous program that encourages respectful discourse. Our Loretto School Values of faith, community, justice, and respect inspire us to do great work for each other and the world.

Preschool to Grade 8 at St. Mary’s Academy is co-educational, while our high school is all-girls. Students across the metro area represent many religious and ethnic backgrounds—creating a vibrant community of collaboration, discovery, and unity.

Early Learning Academics

The Early Learning Program recognizes the significance of a child's formative years, encompassing cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth, and is grounded in the belief that joyful learning is the cornerstone of optimal childhood development.

Lower School Academics

In the Lower School, children engage in social-emotional exploration while experiencing authentic learning, including an introduction to design thinking. 

Middle School Academics

Our Middle School is designed for learners to forge connections, explore their identity through community service, and nurture their passion areas.

High School Academics

At our High School, young women learn to trust their voices, delve deeply into advanced coursework and service learning, and leave with a sense of purpose as agents of change.


 

Service learning at SMA has shown me that education extends far beyond textbooks. Through giving back to our community, I've discovered the real-world impact we can make, and it's taught me the true value of empathy, collaboration, and being a responsible global citizen.
