Co-Curriculars

Research shows a strong correlation between extracurricular activities and academic performance, mental health, and sense of belonging. At St. Mary’s Academy, students have unlimited access to clubs and activities that fuel their interests and facilitate deeper engagement with peers and Academy community sponsors.

ADVISORY

Each student joins a grade-level group led by a faculty advisor, where they can check in, talk through what’s happening, celebrate wins, and figure out challenges. It’s the trusted space where sisterhood grows naturally, where you can be yourself, and where you always have someone in your corner.

OFFICE HOURS

On designated days, teachers have office hours, just like in college. Faculty members are available for drop-in support. Students decide how to use the time based on what they need that day, learning to advocate for yourself, ask questions, and take charge of your own success.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES

Throughout the year, the High School gathers for assemblies that bring energy and meaning to campus life. Pep rallies, Signing Day celebrations for athletes, play previews, town halls, college fairs, Veteran’s Day ceremonies, and outside speakers on everything from social justice to career paths to broaden students' outlook and opportunities.

Activities, Affinity Groups, Clubs, Honor Societies, and Organizations

In the High School, students drive the continuity and creation of dozens of highly successful clubs and organizations, including Speech and Debate, Model UN, SMAbotics, The Quill newspaper, Yearbook, Community Outreach Club, Diversity Club, Student Association, and multiple music and choir ensembles and theatre productions. Thanks to the strategic size and all-girls composition of St. Mary’s Academy, all students are able to participate, contribute, and flourish in a positively charged atmosphere.

Students create and run every club, organization, and affinity group in the High School. If something doesn't exist yet, pitch it and make it happen. The leadership skills and experience students gain from organizing events, managing teams, and pursuing their passions are exactly what top colleges look for.
