Additional Fees

Deposit due upon acceptance (credited towards tuition): $2,000
New family one-time facilities fee: $600
Yearly Security Fee: $350 per family
Book Fees: Approximately $200-$500 per year

Additional High School fees, such as standardized test, AP test, and graduation fees may also occur.

Financial Aid

Since our founding in Colorado Territory in 1864, St. Mary’s Academy has been an inclusive community that welcomes students of every race, religious tradition, and economic background. We know that the commitment you are making to provide your child with the best education, deep-rooted values, and pathways to leadership and success requires a considerable financial investment. We’re here to help with a tuition assistance program across our three divisions, made possible through generous donors who want to foster the experience for others. St. Mary’s Academy offers approximately $2.4 million in need-based tuition assistance. Approximately 20% of our student body receives financial aid. Admissions decisions are made on a need-blind basis, so we encourage all families to consider applying for assistance. We’ll work diligently to honor your family’s requirements and our mission to serve.

Financial Aid Process

We use School and Student Services (SSS) to process financial aid applications. SSS is a service of the National Association of Independent Schools. Based on the financial information you provide, SSS gives St. Mary’s Academy an estimated amount your family can contribute to educational expenses. This helps the school make fair and objective financial aid decisions. To begin your financial aid application, follow these steps below:

1. Go to SSS: The SSS portal opens September 1, 2023. If applying for grades 9-12, an applicant’s online application must be completed by December 13, 2023. If applying for grades K-8, an applicant's online application must be completed by December 31, 2023, and all documents uploaded by February 1, 2024.

2. Click on the prompt to begin your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). Only complete one PFS even if you have several children applying to our school.

3. Click on the green “Create an Account” button. You will be asked to enter your name and e-mail address and to select a password.

4. The St. Mary’s Academy school code is 4901.

Required Documentation

Required documentation should be uploaded to the SSS portal . Applications for tuition assistance will be processed upon receipt of the following items:

SSS application, PFS, and $60 application fee
Copy of 2022 income tax return and all schedules
2022 W2
2023 W2
2022 business income tax return and all schedules if self-employed

The Admission and Business Office does not accept paper, emailed or scanned copies. Families must upload documents as individual, separate pdf files or mail to SSS. To submit documents by mail, you must print your Cover Sheet from "My Documents" and send it with your documents to the address it provides at least 10 days before the deadlines.

St. Mary’s Academy encourages you to pay close attention to these deadlines. If your financial aid application is complete by the deadline communicated for your applicant, you will receive a financial aid notification soon after your student’s acceptance. If you miss the December 13, 2023/December 31, 2023 deadline, your financial aid application will be considered on a wait-pool basis. Please do not delay in submitting your forms!

1. Go to SSS: The SSS portal opens September 1, 2023. An applicant’s online application must be completed by December 31, 2023, and accompanying documents uploaded by February 1, 2024.

2. Click on the prompt to begin your Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS). Only complete one PFS even if you have several children enrolled/applying to our school.

3. If you applied for aid last year, enter in your login and password in the section called “Returning Families.” If you have forgotten your login information, click on “forgot your password.”

4. The St. Mary’s Academy school code is 4901.
