Coach Sarah Jacobs has been the varsity coach since 2014 at SMA. She began coaching the Wildcats as the JV coach since 2012. Sarah is a Colorado native and was a two sport high school athlete in soccer and field hockey, in addition to a competitive synchronized swimmer, diver, and dancer. She was a member of three state championship field hockey teams and two state championship soccer teams before going on to play field hockey at Johns Hopkins. While at Hopkins she served as team captain and received the Most Valuable Player Award her senior year. She earned her BA in Behavioral Biology and a minor in Entrepreneurship and Management.
Sarah tries to stay active and involved in the field hockey community. She still loves to play the game, and has been competing in adult leagues since she graduated. When Sarah is not playing or coaching field hockey, she enjoys her other passions as a synchronized swimming coach and snowboard instructor in Snowmass, Colorado. Sarah enjoys being outside and enjoying the mountains of Colorado, and her other interests include Orange Theory, snowboarding, climbing, and golfing.

Assistant Coach : Lexi Prochniak
This is Lexi’s second season coaching the Wildcats. A Philadelphia native, Lexi was a tri-sport athlete competing in field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse throughout high school. She was recruited to play field hockey at Washington and Lee University. While at W&L, Lexi served as team captain and was the recipient of the Coaches Award her senior season. She earned her Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and looks forward to beginning her Masters Program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling this winter.
Lexi moved out west to Colorado in September of 2022. She still loves to play field hockey, taking full advantage of the adult-leagues that Colorado has to offer. An avid lover of the outdoors, Lexi loves to hike, backpack, and go camping in her free time.
Lexi loves coaching and loves the sport of field hockey. She is passionate about encouraging student-athletes to grow their confidence and realize their potential. She is grateful for the opportunity to help lead the Wildcats this season.
