Hello Everyone! My name is Sasha Bevz and I am one of the three dance team coaches for the 2023-2024 winter season. I grew up dancing at Starstruck Academy of Dance in Centennial, CO, competing in all styles of dance both regionally and nationally. Upon graduation, I attended CU Boulder where I am currently working on a degree in Psychology. Over the past four years, I have had the pleasure of teaching many students of all ages both at Starstruck, as well as many after school dance programs across the Denver metro area. I am also currently a Performability instructor at Starstruck, a nonprofit organization supporting children and adults with varying needs. I am so grateful for the opportunity to work with the incredible dance students at St. Mary's Academy, and cannot wait to share my love of dance with them, and the joy that a passion for dance can bring to a student’s life. Hi All! My name is Lauren Hesse from Starstruck Academy of Dance in Centennial, CO, and I am one of the three dance team coaches for the winter 2023-2024 season. I began my dance career at Starstruck where I began competing at the age of six, competing at a regional and national level, as well as competing on my high school varsity dance team at Chaparral High School. Upon graduation, I attended Colorado State University where I graduated with honors with a major in Communication Studies and a minor in English. I was also a member of the CSU Golden Poms Dance Team for four years, and served as the team’s choreographer. During college, I continued to work as a choreographer for Starstruck to help company members get ready for the upcoming competition season. Shortly after graduating from CSU, I started teaching at Starstruck. As an instructor, I have had the opportunity to work with both Starstruck dancers and dance teams alike, choreographing for both high school and collegiate teams, as well as our Starstruck competitive solos, duets, trios, and group routines for the last ten years. I currently serve as the studio’s head of customer relations and assists in studio operations and administration. I am so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with the St. Mary’s Academy dancers this season. It is our mission to foster a positive, supportive environment for our students where they can learn, grow, and discover a passion for dance and all it has to offer.
