Coach Kendra Lord has played tennis for 20+ years. She is currently ranked in the top 30 women of the state, competing in multiple USTA leagues such as the 5.0 Women's League, 10.0 Mixed Doubles' League, and 9.5 Mixed Doubles' League. Growing up in Colorado, Kendra competed for Mountain Vista High School. Notably, Kendra helped lead her high school team to three consecutive Continental League titles and three Regional titles. Additionally, during her senior year, Kendra guided the team to a third-place finish in the CHSAA 5A High School State Tournament. After high school, Kendra attended Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. As a scholar-athlete, Kendra majored in accounting and business intelligence & analytics while playing Division 1 Big East Tennis all four years. In her sophomore year, she contributed to the team’s record of 15 wins, which was the most wins by a Bluejay women’s team since 1993.
Her passion for the sport led Kendra to start coaching while she was in college. In Omaha, Kendra coached the Special Olympics Nebraska Tennis Buddies program for four years. Returning to Colorado after her college graduation, Kendra coached the boys' and girls' tennis teams at Mountain Vista High School. Specifically, she was the assistant varsity coach for three boys' seasons and one girls' season. Last spring, Kendra was the head coach of the girls’ program, overseeing the varsity and junior varsity teams.
