Volleyball
With four High School teams, the volleyball program is one of the most robust at St. Mary's Academy. Varsity consistently competes in post season play, having advanced to the Regional tournament for 4 straight seasons.
The Volleyball program at SMA is one of the largest at the school, giving athletes the chance to play at any level. Led by the Varsity squad, the program continues to see success, with multiple players choosing to continue their volleyball careers in the NCAA. Along with winning records, the team reached Regionals the last four years, and has had multiple players named to the first-, second-, and honorable mention All-League teams.

Shandiin grew up playing school and club volleyball in Arizona, earning top-ten state rankings in digs and back-to-back MVP awards during her high school career. She continued her playing career at Arizona State University on the club team and later transferred to Fort Lewis College in Durango, where she began coaching with Four Corners Volleyball Club.
Since graduating with a degree in Journalism and Multimedia Studies, she has coached with top-tier clubs including Four Corners Volleyball Club, Arizona Storm Elite and Colorado Elite. As a coach with Colorado Elite, her teams have earned Nationals Bids and multiple top-15 finishes in the state.
Shandiin continues to compete in adult leagues and recently finished second at USAV Nationals. Off the court, she works as a Senior Marketing Manager at a tech company and enjoys mountain biking and spending time outdoors.
