This will be Lauren’s first year with the soccer program here at St. Mary’s Academy. She is currently in her final semester at Denver Seminary where she is pursuing a Master of Divinity. She comes to St. Mary’s soccer program with a lot of experience in the soccer world.
Lauren grew up as a multi-sport athlete in Sioux Falls, SD. In high school she was a multi-sport athlete in the following sports: basketball, soccer, track, and studio dance. She got multiple soccer scholarship offers for college and chose to play at University of Sioux Falls. Lauren started all four years. During this whole time, Lauren was a soccer referee for youth club and high school teams.
A few years after she graduated, Lauren got asked to officiate college soccer games. She jumped at the opportunity. For the last 8 years, she has refereed at all college levels including multiple NCAA tournament games, pro-leagues, and local games here in Colorado and back in South Dakota. Over the years, she has participated in coaching for youth programs in underprivileged areas. She has a huge heart for the game and is excited about the opportunity to coach here at St. Mary’s. She looks forward to being part of the soccer family here at St. Mary’s Academy.
