According to the NCAA, only 3.3% of women swimmers--430 of them in 2020--in high schools nationally make it to Division 1 programs in college. State Championship swimmer Kalie Linden of St. Mary's Academy is one of them, headed to Saint Louis University to swim for the Billikens' Division 1 program in the Atlantic 10 Conference lead by Head Coach Jim Halliburton.

An individual and team medalist the past two years at State, the scholar-athlete and co-captain maintains a rigorous schedule of classes at SMA's High School while swimming for the Wildcats Varsity swim team and training 16 hours a week with the University of Denver Hilltoppers for their competitive events.
