We’re proud to introduce our new Athletics Department Team! These experienced coaches, leaders, and sports extraordinaires bring fresh perspectives and proven strategies to develop our students’ athletic abilities and character, elevate the department, and build our Wildcat pride!

Jenn Bradley
Athletics Director

Sports have been Coach Jenn Bradley’s lifelong passion, from player to coach to recruiter and administrator. She’s eager to share her knowledge by creating environments where students can experience outstanding opportunities for athletic participation. Coach Bradley holds a BA in communications and an MA in counseling and psychology from Santa Clara University. An avid sports enthusiast, she particularly follows college sports and Colorado teams.

“What I’m looking forward to most in joining the SMA community is just that, joining the community! Everyone I have interacted with so far has been welcoming and eager to support athletics. I want to harness that energy to create a top-tier Athletics Department!”

Coach Bradley brings extensive experience to SMA, including Division I coaching and recruiting, comprehensive athletic program development, and applied sports psychology principles. When asked about her role as Athletics Director, Coach Bradley said, “I want to create a department in which our community members want to be involved! That task encompasses quite a bit, but our fantastic new Athletics Department team is ready to build something great!”

Nate Shipley
Assistant Athletics Director

Coach Nate Shipley grew up as a multisport athlete before focusing on football and wrestling. He earned a BS in biology from Cal Poly and an MS in strength and conditioning from Leeds Beckett University. After coaching football at Niwot High School, he began specializing in strength and conditioning work. Coach Shipley’s career has been dedicated to athletics, where he thrives on teamwork and shared goals. While he enjoys all sports, he admits his favorite teams are the Raiders and, of course, the SMA Wildcats!

“I’ve heard so many amazing things about the SMA community and how everyone works to support one another. I am excited to be in an environment where I can work with great coaches and athletes to help make their lives more enjoyable through sports.”

Coach Shipley’s background fuels his passion for developing young athletes, focusing on physical skills and mental resilience. He’s eager to create an athletic program that challenges students while ensuring they find joy and fulfillment in their sporting endeavors.

Josh Moreno
Athletics Assistant

Coach Moreno’s love for sports began early as a player and fan. This enthusiasm naturally evolved into a career working with athletes across all age groups. After earning a BA in sports management from MSU Denver, he worked for the Colorado Rockies and the Denver Nuggets. His connection to Denver’s professional sports scene continues, as he still brings his energy to Nuggets’ home games in game presentation. Coach Moreno joined SMA in 2021 as a coach.

“I am incredibly excited for this new chapter in athletics! I look forward to creating new opportunities for younger generations to engage with sports earlier through our CSAL program for Lower School students, uplifting our school spirit, and fostering connections with athletes and their families.”

Coach Moreno prides himself on specializing in community and player relations by ensuring everyone is heard and understood. He hopes to expand opportunities for participation in sports in the Lower School, enhance the overall experience for Middle and High Schools, and continue to recognize our scholar-athletes.

Morgan Stevens
Athletics Administrative Assistant

Coach Stevens was a multisport hockey, football, and volleyball player, eventually focusing on volleyball. She has played since fifth grade and currently plays for Volleyball of The Rockies. She holds a psychology degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. Her diverse sports background and education led her to pursue a career in athletics. She follows the Miami Dolphins and the USA Women’s Beach Volleyball Team during her downtime. She also volunteers her time with Habitat for Humanity.

“I am ecstatic to join the Athletics Department at SMA because I can make a difference and support an amazing department. I look forward to the camaraderie of being part of a team where we can motivate each other and strive for excellence.”

Coach Stevens is excited to help create a supportive environment and encourage athletes.

Dane Tuck
Middle School P.E. Teacher and Athletics Coordinator

Sports have always been essential in Coach Dane Tuck's life. He’s been playing rugby since he was ten and enjoys all sports' competitive spirit. He was compelled to pursue a career in athletics by the relationships he built with his teachers, which he has since mirrored in his work. Coach Tuck holds a BA in physical education and sports from St. Mary’s University. Soccer and rugby are his favorite sports, and he’s a loyal Crystal Palace fan.

“I look forward to seeing the student's overall growth from last year, developing new and existing relationships with students, and working within a new Athletics Department Team.”

Coach Tuck brings over a decade of experience in athletics administration. He’s focused on creating a healthy, enjoyable environment where Middle School students can thrive in athletics. Returning to the SMA Athletics Department, Coach Tuck is excited to build on established relationships while forging new ones. Outside work, he plays rugby with the Castle Rock Pirates Rugby Club.

With this talented team, SMA Athletics is ready for the next chapter. Their mix of skills, energy, commitment to our Loretto School Values, and love for the SMA community will help every Wildcat shine. The Wildcat roar is about to get a whole lot louder!
