Students' Calligraphy Featured at Exhibition

We're proud to share that the calligraphy work of High School students in Chinese classes was selected by the Rocky Mountain Art Calligraphy Society for an exhibition featuring artists from 16 countries. The opening ceremony was held at the Aurora Central Library over the weekend, where our students were honored guests and participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The featured pieces were inspired by our Loretto School Values of faith, community, justice, and respect, thoughtfully connected to traditional Chinese philosophy through four-character idioms studied in Chinese class:

Faith — 心存至信 (xīn cún zhì xìn): Holding deep, sincere faith within one's heart

Community — 海纳百川 (hǎi nà bǎi chuān): Like the sea embracing many rivers, representing inclusiveness and diversity

Justice — 公正无私 (gōng zhèng wú sī): Acting with fairness and without personal bias

Respect — 以礼相待 (yǐ lǐ xiāng dài): Treating others with courtesy and mutual respect
