Check out our first group of spring sport athletes in March's Athletes of the Month! This month, coaches from the Middle School and High School Lacrosse teams are sharing their featured athletes with us. These students stand out by being encouraging teammates, hard workers, and dedicated athletes. Congratulations, to this month's featured athletes! Check out what their coaches have to say:

Varsity Lacrosse: Julia Stehno
Julia is a player that is a joy to coach. She always gives 110%, and encourages her teammates to work hard. She stepped into a new position this year and has become a staple defensive player on the field. She is a natural leader, a well-rounded athlete, and a great teammate!

Grade 7/8 Boys Lacrosse: Zeb Mills
Due to various circumstances, this year's boys' lacrosse team is down to only 9 players, which means that we are playing "man down" every minute of every game. Last week, we played against Colorado Academy. In that game, Zeb's performance was a dominant one - not only was he our leading scorer, but he also helped to anchor a defense that held CA to only 2 goals, despite their man advantage.  Zeb's leadership on both ends of the field was both obvious and welcome.

Grade 8 Girls Lacrosse: Saira Keithley
Saira has brought an extremely positive attitude to practice the whole time I’ve coached her. She is always down to try her best no matter what I ask her to do. She encourages her teammates and has been a joy to work with!

Grade 7 Girls Lacrosse: Keely Graff
Keely is not only an awesome lacrosse player, but a kind, helpful, and respectful teammate. She has been working hard in practice and shows interest in improving not only herself, but the team as a whole. Thank you, Keely!

Grade 6 Girls Lacrosse: Elle Parnell
It takes character to want to play goalie in any sport, especially when you know the sport and the demands of the position. Elle volunteered to be our goalie for the first game when no one else would. She was a good sport about it and she inspired others to now want to play that position in the upcoming games.
