Your Wildcat Swim & Dive Team did it again, clinching their fourth consecutive Tri-Peaks League Championship! Riley Mills led the way, earning Tri-Peaks League Swimmer of the Year honors. 

The team also secured top-two finishes in nine events: 

1st Place Finishes:

• 200 Yard Medley Relay - Madison Crysel, Ryan Hilgers, Riley Mills, and Sofia Redhead
• 50 Yard Freestyle - Riley Mills, setting a pool record!
• 100 Yard Butterfly - Riley Mills, setting a pool record!
• 100 Yard Breaststroke - Madison Crysel

2nd Place Finishes:

• 200 Yard Freestyle Relay - Lauren Anderson, Kate Callender, Ryan Hilgers, and Mary Jane Osborn
• 200 Yard IM - Madison Crysel
• 200 Yard Freestyle - Kate Callender
• 500 Yard Freestyle - Kate Callender
• 1M Diving - Bella Hurley

Next up - State Championships, where the Wildcats will defend their 2024 3A State Champions title. Senior Riley Mills will also swim to defend her individual event titles in the 50 Yard Freestyle and 100 Yard Butterfly. We have 16 athletes competing at State, one of our largest teams on school record!

Congratulations to our State qualifiers: from Grade 12, Lauren Anderson, Riley Mills, and Chloe Poore; Grade 11, Kate Callender, Madison Crysel, Annika Damon, Malika Haro, Mary Jane Osborn, Gabby Stein-Plog, and Mia Williams; Grade 10, Lola Bruns, Ryan Hilgers, Bella Hurley, Sofia Redhead, and Noelle Thompson; and Grade 9, Bella Sznewajs. Fifty SMA scholar-athletes comprised this year’s close-knit team. Congratulations also go to Head Swim Coach Kelly Shipley, Head Dive Coach Lise Kafka, and Assistant Swim Coach Meredith Olson.
