Middle School Service Days Impact our Community
Halley Stennes

Grade 7 and 8 students recently completed their final off-campus service learning projects of the school year.

Last week, the seventh grade in their CAT groups volunteered at Pet Pantry, A Little Help, Angelica Village, ARC, Highline Place, and Movement 5280. After their morning giving back, the students enjoyed a picnic and teambuilding activities at DeKoevend Park. Grade 7 thanks the dedicated parent volunteers who supported this meaningful day.

Grade 8 CATs contributed their time and energy at Movement 5280, GrowingGardens, ARC, Integrated Family Community Services, and Rosie's Ranch. The eighth graders then celebrated their service with a special grade-level lunch outing.

The entire Middle School community also came together at the Social last Friday to raise funds for Loving Haiti, an organization supporting education and career readiness for women and girls in Haiti. Thanks to generous contributions, over $400 was raised! Students and families also donated canned goods to help stock the shelves at the Southwest Improvement Council food bank.

Through hands-on service projects and community fundraising, our Middle Schoolers embraced the Loretto School Values of faith, community, justice, and respect. These experiences foster empathy, teamwork, and reflection as students prepare for their next steps. Thank you to all the students, families, and community partners who made this year's service learning so impactful! We look forward to these meaningful projects next year.
