What is Academy Parents?

The mission of Academy Parents is to build community and enhance the educational and social experience of each SMA student and family.

Academy Parents sponsors events and programs that assist parents and teachers in developing lifelong learners while providing opportunities for social interaction. Every parent is an Academy Parent and is welcome at meetings as a voting member.

What Events/Activities are Sponsored by Academy Parents?

  • Conference meals for faculty (twice per year)
  • Faculty and staff Appreciation (Thanksgiving pies and wine, thank you lunch in the spring)
  • Tuesday Treats
  • Snack Attack
  • Lower School Christmas party
  • Lower School ice cream social
  • Grade 5 continuation gifts
  • Grade 8 continuation gifts
  • Grade 8 breakfasts (fall and spring)
  • Middle School dance and social
  • Senior self-defense course
  • Coffee cart for seniors on their last day of school
  • Misc. treats, parties, etc. throughout the year!
  • Wildcat Welcome Committee to welcome new families
