Counseling Services

At St. Mary's Academy the counseling department provides social and emotional support to JK-12th grade students through a comprehensive counseling program. School counselors provide short-term support to help students work through personal, social, emotional, and developmental issues that impact their school success. Students can receive counseling support through individual counseling, small group counseling, and classroom guidance. Some of the topics school counselors can help students address include:

Academic guidance

Anger

Anxiety/Stress

Behavior
Bullying
Conflict Resolution
Crisis Intervention
Decision-making/Problem-solving
Divorce/Family Changes
Grief and Loss

Social Skills

While parents may not be advised of every student-counselor interaction, they will be notified when there is a concern for student safety. Please contact the school counselors for more information and available resources.
